We received this recently:
Further to your kind help with my posting regarding two dear friends Kansa and Jackie on Phi Phi. I recived an email from a lady called Marie Egenaes.
It appears that both Kan and Jackie were killed on December 26th 2004 on Ko Phi Phi. They were such amazing people, so full of life. Its such an awful tragedy.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kind help and words during this difficult time. My heart goes out to everyone who has been effected by the tsunami.
Regards,
Duncan
I need your help. I am trying to contact 2 friends who work at Tin
Tins Bar on Phi Phi Island. I have known them for two years and was
talking to them both on Christmas Eve - 24th December 2004.
They are called Jackie (27) and Kansa (23), are of Thai Nationality
and I cannot get in contact with them since the Tsunami. Does anyone
know if they are OK or how Tin Tin's Bar is? They also worked for a
tour company on the island which was opposite the turning for Tin Tin
Bar, I would be so grateful for any help they are both very dear
friends. You can mail me back at duncan.lodge@migranthelpline.org
Many Thanks,
Duncan Lodge
