The perfect dose after a business meeting would be to simply loosen that tie, kick back and take in all that Thailand has to offer. A 2 week stay is advised and the area of Chiang Rai would be the best place to retire to with family. Explore lush mountainside jungle and soak up the outdoors where you will have access to the Lanna culture as well. Cap it all off with a vacation stay at Anantara Golden Triangle.

You are right tizalee, Lamphun is a beautiful place to see in Thailand. It is a historical Province in Thailand. It is located in the river valley of the Ping River. I also visited this region during my trip to Thailand. It offers a variety of historical sights to see. It is also very famous due to its; beautiful temples, hill tribe villages, and two national parks.

Although this thread is quite old, I can see that you got tonnes of suggestions! Honestly, for me it really depends where in Thailand you intend to go? Bangkok always has a good mix of culture and shopping in a city concept, but if you're a sun and surf kinda person like I am, you may want to try villas or houses for rent in the Rawai and Nai Harn beach areas! Slightly less commercialised that Patong beach but with the same atmosphere that we love about a coastal resort getaway!

BenniGholami, I think you also have great interest in nature like me. I am a nature lover and love to see stunning and handsome places anywhere in the world. I never listen about these areas that you have been mentioned in your post. After reading your post I have great wish to go there once in my life to explore the awesome beauty of this region. I think we can visit this area with low budget.
